I was able to take my normal route today for walking around the block at Dad's house. The construction crews were further down the street.

I'm happy that there's a tiny bit of sunlight left at 6 PM.

I've got a catering order tomorrow morning. I'll get a haircut after working out.

I'm glad the weather will be in the 40s this week and low-50s over the weekend. I haven't been going for walks the past few days due to the snow and extreme cold. One of the sidewalks in my dad's neighborhood is closed for construction. I'll need to take a different route for my walks.

I looked over my past Upwork and Fiverr contracts to make sure they're all paid. They are. If the artist who did my fursona art contacts me again claiming I haven't paid, I'll ask him for a link to the contract proving this. If he can't, I'll know he's lying, and I will block him.

I wish I could find a job that will hire me. I need something to get me away from my current weekday routine. Dad is having me pick weeds at his house after I work out, but he says I need to do a better job. On top of that, the family friend from Pittsburgh wants me to walk faster when working out. I currently walk at a pace I feel comfortable with that doesn't tire me out too much. Going faster will just get me tired more quickly and make me angry.

I found more information about an AM-FM station for sale from a few months ago. A listing said the AM station had two FM translators. The only local stations fitting that description are KPPF, currently called "Power Talk 1040," and KQSC which is simulcasting classic hits KDZA in Pueblo.

My ankle was hurting from all the walking I did yesterday, so I only did one lap around the block today.

The family friend from Pittsburgh is visiting again. I'll be having dinner with her and Dad tonight.

I'll be making a large catering delivery tomorrow morning. I hate when the order pickup time is scheduled before the restaurant opens since the restaurant won't usually let me in early. I should be done in time to do my regular noon workout at Dad's house. I have a meetup later that evening.

UPDATE: The restaurant let me in before opening time, so the order was ready and delivered on time.

I didn't get to do any walking around the block today since it's been raining with lightning. Tomorrow, I need to go to Dad's house an hour earlier since he has a house cleaning service coming over at noon. I'll try to get a haircut tomorrow before a meetup.

I wanted to go to Del Taco for lunch, but two of the locations near me have signs up saying they're closed until further notice. The news articles I found online said a franchisee dispute and bankruptcy caused the closures at the end of February. All Colorado locations are closed except one in Grand Junction which is owned by a different franchisee.

I went out to Voodoo Brewing tonight for dinner with the meetup group. There were two sandwiches I was torn between; I got the Chicky Chicky Bang Bang sandwich, which has a chicken tikka masala breast. The other sandwich I thought about trying was a spicy chicken sandwich called Cluck Around And Find Out.

I'm still doing walks every morning, though I will shift to early afternoons so I can sleep in a bit more.

I slept in more than I planned today since I couldn't fall asleep right after Doggy Radio. I think I still had too much caffeine in my system. The pest control company came by today to spray for bugs. They usually arrive early in the morning, but they came at 11 AM today. I slept for a few hours during the afternoon after working out at Dad's house.

Moving more

I've been getting much more exercise this week. Yesterday and today, I walked for about a mile each day. My legs really hate me, but I hope I can keep this up.

Tonight, I saw the Psychedelegates play at Hillside Gardens. They hadn't played for a few months, so it was good to hear them again.

I couldn't go for a walk today since there's been rain off and on all day. The weekend is supposed to be much sunnier and warmer.

I put together a music set dedicated to Rick Derringer. I learned about his death on Facebook from "Weird Al" Yankovic, whose first few albums were produced by Derringer. I also found another clip featuring George Wendt I had forgotten about. It was from the TV show TV Funhouse and featured Wendt doing a speech about ovarian cancer, but he used a more vulgar term for it.

I took a walk around the block this morning. I was originally going to wait until the afternoon, but I saw there was rain in the forecast. The rain also included pea-sized hail.

I didn't make an official New Year's resolution list for this year, but I am proud of two accomplishments that are normally on my lists. I weighed 319 this morning (down from 341 after my cruise) and I've paid off about 17% of my debt this year. For 2025, I'd like to at least get my weight below 305 and keep chipping away at my debt. I'm exercising more and trying to eat healthier with help from a family friend.

One of my DoorDash deliveries today was to a fourth-floor apartment. I was winded after taking the stairs to the fourth floor. Walking about halfway down the hall, I saw the building had an elevator. While I wish I had seen that before taking the stairs, at least I got more exercise.

It's supposed to snow later tonight and Saturday. It started raining while I was doing deliveries.

I cleared away some of the garbage that had piled up around my exercise bike so I could use it Wednesday night. I didn't realize just how out of shape I am until I found I could only pedal for about 5 minutes before feeling tired. Still, that's 5 minutes more than I've done in the past few months. I just need to keep at it and gradually increase the time I spend on the bike to help get my weight lower again.

I had a great time in Pittsburgh this weekend. Unfortunately, I couldn't work out a time to pay Boomer a visit.

I was hoping I wouldn't need to use a seat belt extender since I was flying in First Class with wider seats. The seat belts were still a bit short.

I had dinner Thursday night with the singles group at Mezzo at Sienna Mercato. I'm glad I had lunch on the flight because service at the restaurant was SLOOOOW! I ordered the polpette appetizer (meatballs stuffed with mozzarella) and a salad.

The group went on the 'Burgh Bits and Bites Tour on Friday. It was nice to sample some of the local businesses' foods like the sausage from Parma Sausage, fresh-made hummus from Labad's Grocery, and Jimmy Sunseri's pepperoni roll from Sunseri's on the Strip.

Friday night was the dinner cruise. I got to have dinner and drinks while traveling on the three rivers around Pittsburgh: the Ohio, the Allegheny and the ... Magilla Gorilla?

On Saturday, the group went on a tour of the Wigle Whiskey Distillery. I got to sample some of the whiskeys and other spirits made here, and I purchased bottles of the coffee liqueur and cinnamon whiskey to take home.

I went to PNC Park on Saturday night to watch the Mets and Pirates. The home team wasn't as lucky tonight since they lost 5-1. I had dinner with the group afterward at Mike's Beer Bar.

I had a great time, though my back and ankles hate me for all the walking I did on the various tours. One of the group members said he used to have the same problems and recommended getting custom-fitted shoes. I hope I can make this trip again. If I do, I will make sure to stay until Monday or Tuesday, even if that means changing hotels on Sunday.

This morning, my bathroom scale had a reading I haven't seen in several years: 299.6 pounds! Yes, that's less than half a pound below 300 and having a light meal will put me above 300 again, but this was a goal I wanted to reach before the end of the year. I'm actually surprised I lost weight since I had fast food with actual meat for lunch yesterday. I guess the exercise I got with DoorDash deliveries afterward helped burn off some of those calories.
jcollie719: (Collie Wink)
I hadn't done any food deliveries for a while due to depression. The reduced exercise added a few pounds to me, as did baking and eating more batches of cookies. I used the last of my chocolate chip cookie dough yesterday. I signed up to make a catering delivery today in south Denver just before noon. I picked up a vegan burger afterward at a local place called Meta Burger.

After the delivery, I drove to Safeway to get the ingredients for a dish I'm bringing to a party on Saturday. Everyone was asked to bring a Mexican dish, so I found a recipe in my new Bisquick cookbook for a nacho chicken pie.
jcollie719: (Collie Wink)
I was able to transfer my "Lucky Move" app's data from my old cell phone to my new one. Now I don't have to lose the points/money I've earned so far.

I met with some furries Saturday for a pizza meet. This coincided with "Pi Day" (3/14.) I had a calzone this time, and the group ordered garlic knots to share.

Hiscox?! Yukyukyukyukyuk...

I was able to solve the Weekend Edition Sunday puzzle almost immediately after the segment ended!

A member of my OA group texted the group to say the church where we meet is closed due to coronavirus precautions. One of my singles meetup groups has also cancelled activities for the near future. A St. Patrick's Day meet is still on, so I'll be very careful to not get sick. EDIT (3/16): I decided to cancel my RSVP for the event. Better safe than sorry!
jcollie719: (Collie Wink)
I had three DoorDash deliveries in a row on Sunday from a Chipotle restaurant near my home. The third order had a message asking for Tabasco sauce to be included. I didn't see this message until after I had left the restaurant. I went just down the street to World Market to pick some up. The only regular Tabasco the store had was a six pack of mini bottles, so I put two of the bottles in with the Chipotle customer's order.

I'm surprised I actually lost a bit of weight since I've had more than a few fast food meals this past week. Obviously the increased exercise that came with all the DoorDash orders played a role in the lower weight.
jcollie719: (Tiger Jump)
My right ankle occasionally likes to throw a fit when I actually get more exercise. I'm using the RICE method (rest, ice, compression, elevation) to help it heal. I'll take a day or two off from delivering food as well. I should wear my Masai sneakers when doing deliveries since those are designed to help strengthen my ankles and thighs.

I had done a few deliveries before and after my OA meeting yesterday. I actually got more orders from non-fast-food restaurants.

65 days until DenFur!

I have another dental appointment tomorrow afternoon. Any further dental work I need to have done will need to wait several months so my accounts can recover.
